Anniversary Congress: 80 Years of Innovation in Health and Medical Education Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy (1945-2025)
From October 20 to 22, 2025, the National Institute for Medical and Health Research (INCMS) of the Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy in the Republic of Moldova is organizing an international anniversary congress entitled “Creating the health of the future through education, research, and innovation” , dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the institution’s founding.
This major scientific event takes place during the traditional celebrations dedicated to University Days, in the third week of October. The 80th Anniversary Congress of Innovation in Health and Medical Education is held under the slogan “Creating the health of the future through education, research, and innovation,” thus consolidating the position of USMF “Nicolae Testemițanu” as a regional and international leader in medical education and research.
The scientific event program is complex, structured around eight thematic scientific fields. These will include scientific conferences, symposiums, research workshops, including a new format—Live Research Lab; Creative Ideation Session, research courses, and debate forums.
Thus, on October 20, a Day of professional debates and interdisciplinary workshops will be organized through: research workshops, commemorative sessions, a professional networking session, interdisciplinary educational workshops, educational courses in research, and satellite symposiums.
October 21 – Scientific and Educational Synergy Day – will include a session for the presentation of posters moderated by theme and, in parallel, conferences and thematic satellite symposiums. Subsequently, the extended meeting of the University Senate and the Research and Innovation Gala will take place between 2:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
October 22 – Interdisciplinary Scientific Exploration, Innovation, and Practice Day – eight scientific fields will be organized: Molecular Foundations of Medicine; Internal Medicine in Transition: from evidence-based medicine to personalized medicine; Pharmacy of the future; Surgery of the future and innovative transplants; Mental health and neuroscience in the digital age; Mother and child health: innovation and impact; Connecting science with decision-making: innovation in public health; Aesthetics and functionality in dentistry.
The Congress aims to consolidate the role of USMF “Nicolae Testemițanu” as a regional and international leader in medical education and research by highlighting the achievements of advanced research: the transition from quantity to quality, strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration through state-of-the-art scientific and educational sessions, and promoting the recently consolidated research and innovation infrastructure.
